David Magidson is proud to once again be part of The Speakeasy. He was in the original production, playing Bosley the Magnificent and Joe in the Clock-shop. After graduating with an acting degree from Emerson College, Mr. Magidson focused on physical theatre, specifically clowning. He auditioned and was accepted to Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Clown College. Of the five thousand that auditioned that year, he was one of only fifty accepted. He went on to perform with Ringling Brothers, Make A Circus and his own clown troupe “The Kloons”. Mr. Magidson was profiled in New York Magazine in July 2015. You may have also seen him in the movie Milk with Sean Penn. He’s appeared in commercials for The Yellow Pages, Nissan, BMW and many others. Mr. Magidson also appears in the music video “Despite What You’ve Been Told” by the band The Two Gallants. He’s the sad clown. Magidson is a proud member of Ruth Asawa School of the Arts (SOTA) teaching clowning to the young actors as an artist in residence. He lives in San Francisco where he is an irritating father and annoying husband.
