Mark Gabriel Kenney is making his Boxcar debut with The Speakeasy. He graduated from Willamette University’s (WU) Theatre Department with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Psychology last spring. Favorite acting credits include Angelo (Measure for Measure, 2013), Shrdlu (Adding Machine: A Musical, 2011-2012), Gordon (Rent, 2011), Anthony (Sweeney Todd, 2012) and Ensemble (Sarah Ruhl’s Orlando, 2012). He also performed in and contributed to the writing of the world premiere production of Brightly Dawning Day with the WU Theatre in February 2013. Gabriel is happy to perform in his native city of San Francisco for the first time since his work with the American Conservatory Theatre (ACT) on the Main and Small stages over five years ago, with credits including A Christmas Carol and Time of Your Life. His directing credits include Asst. Direction of ACT’s Wendy Play, and full Direction of The 24 Hour Theatre Project, as well as McNary High School’s production of Cindy Ella’s Going to the Ball, Baby! He has studied in ACT’s Summer Training Congress, and interned/trained with Larry Silverberg’s True Acting Institute.
