Gomez began studying acting in 2001 at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. After taking his first class of Improv, he was completely hooked. Gomez studied and performed improv for five years, with teachers including Joya Cory, Rachel Hamilton, David Razowsky of The Second City in LA, Susan Messing, Jimmy Carrane from Chicago and Armando Diaz from New York. He has performed with Joya Cory’s improv troupe “Lucky Dog” in San Francisco at the Marsh Theater, and appeared in a mainstage two-person show at The Second City in LA. Gomez has appeared as a lead in a television show, as an extra doing a scene with the director Philip Kaufman, in numerous TV commercials, and has perfromed alongside Clive Owen and Nicole Kidman in the movie Hemingway and Gellhorn.
