“Mezzo-soprano Nikola Printz, known for her rich voice and theatrical stage presence. She is currently in her second year as a resident artist with Opera Memphis, where she is slated to perform Flora in Traviata and Isabella in L’italiana in Algeri. Her recent engagements include Zia Principessa and Zita (Il trittico) Cherubino (Opera Memphis) Rosina (Barber of Seville), The Fox (The Cunning Little Vixen) with West Edge Opera and a reprisal of the role of Unsere Mama (Uksus) at the Oakland Metro Opera house. Other performances include the title role of Carmen with Shreveport Opera and New Rochelle Opera, the cover of Juno/Ino in Handels Semele with Opera Omaha, Olga (Eugene Onegin) with West Bay Opera, Emma (Zelmira) and Erika (Vanessa) with West Edge Opera, Isabella (L’italiana in Algeri) and Giovanna (Rigoletto) with Opera San José, Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor) with Livermore Valley Opera. Nikola originated the role of Velma Louise Cole in Boxcar theaters “The Speakeasy” in 2014. She also often performs in Bay Area jazz clubs and illicit speakeasy bars.Ms. Printz holds a bachelor’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as well as an artist diploma from University of Memphis. In addition to singing she also is an avid aerialist.
